My good friend (the aGitator) and I decided to take the O Brother Where Art Thou? Soundtrack and tear it up and reconstruct it in a way we thought seemed more fitting. Titling the project BOTTOMSOG - we were approached by the wondrous Glorey Whole Records to release a digital copy for ya’ll to enjoy. Featuring further remixes of the (aGitator) tracks by (o)thers - this is a huge amount of torn up mess. We really think you will enjoy it.

Nothing Is Special is a noisy split release with prolific NRYY from Japan and the sexy experiments artist Julia LaDense from somewhere in the United Stated. The two produce very unique and different sounds that clash and bang into each other on each tape side. Julia LaDense utilizes field recordings, guitar amps, circuit bent toys, and this lo-fi crunchy style that Julia is so fond of. Julia’s side is broken up with a bizarro remix of Lemonade that sounds so blown out. The made for tape sounds are what Julia is calling her best work yet and her last solo effort. NRYY continues his catalogue with electronic sounds and mixes that bridge eerie and scary with chaotic and harsh. A horrific display of shattering sounds and blood letting dismay. NRYY brings in weird samples and noises that are intriguing and dynamic. This is a limited to 30 dark gray cassettes on chrome tape. Very limited. Artwork by Mantichora. It seems I have enough material to do about one release a month for the next long time. Its nothing too prolific things just seem to happen and I have found myself with a large collection of tracks. Below my proposed schedule of albums starting in January:

March - An Artists Featuring DenMother split with Ormus

April - Julia LaDense & Mantichora split with Paolo Xz

May - An Artists Featuring Melody Panosian

July - Julia LaDense split with this one dude I know

August - Julia LaDense & Frank Rowenta (no idea really when this will be released)

September - An Artists featuring not sure yet

An Artists is a project i’m work with David Gwynn on - he is from Glasgow. Its gonna be stellar.

Keep this list in mind when you ask me if I can do an album with you ;) Strangely enough most of this (except the September An Artists release) is already recorded and done on my part - which means I’m gonna be sipping a lot of wine between now and the end of 2012

I’m tossing together a set of my favorite tracks on a c47 garbage tape for all you lovers to check out - limited to 5 and going to feature garbage art work - originally was gonna call it “sold out” as its a money grabbing idea but decided to change it to “sisyphus” cuz thats what I’m feeling like - also going to include my short creative idea thought writing piece titled “sisyphus” on this release - gonna be bad ass - or shit - either way you’ll want one cuz its limited. Gonna release it on Cassapes - sometime in November - I need to make a trip to New York before it drops so I can refill on inspiration. White tapes - ihaa is anti white tapes so i’m slinging it on cassapes. Now really - why would anyone want a white tape? They are so ugly - so I’m putting stickers all over it. This is a rant - a bad one - I probably lost credibility writing this and posting it. #sexynoises

Using my iPhone I will attempt to give an update on projects. My MacBook is being repaired so hopefully all is not lost.

My split with Mountainhead will be released Tuesday - titled 5voices (Intervention) it features remixes of sacred music. The remixes turn spiritual voices into beautifully structured bliss. This is an outstanding tape release!

I worked with Filip who records as Morpeth and has other projects- he is from Poland and has interesting sounds- our collaborative project titled Winter Sunset will appear on a split with Grassa Dato from Spain. The Winter Sunset tracks were written and recorded for cassette tapes- once you hear it you will understand why.

I completed recording some of my favorite tracks to be featured on a split with NRYY from Japan. Besides being a prolific sound producer NRYY also runs Silent Novels label. The tape will be titled “Nothing Is Special” and will be my best release to date. Marcin from New Nihilism will be helping with the artwork.

And speaking of Marcin- I have a collaboration piece we are working on to be featured on a split with Dreagan - a c62 to be released in 2012 before the world ends.

Jon Sheffield and I did a collaboration we are searching for a home for. If anyone that runs a label reads this far let me know if you have interest releasing it.

I have two other projects that I’ve been working on for months- and due to time constraints, the busy ihaa label, and computer problems I have yet to get close to completing them. One is a collab with Blood Blood and another is a collab with a dude that goes by Baby Mush I think.

Lastly, a split c92 will be released in the near future featuring a collab with me and Nick Ripley. An Anthony Burns project will also be on the split

I inevitably left something out. Oh yeah - I collaborated with Big Epoch - our first track will be featured on a split cassingle on ihaa with Bizzart due out October 31st.

Mountainhead and Julia LaDense reprocess these voices - they change the way they sound - they make it even more spiritual and modern. Imagine yourself receiving the spirit of the Lord on Sunday in your local Church filled with white noise and corroded sounds. Breaking down the entire meaning behind the voices and recreating it into an angel fallen and broken. 5voices (Intervention) is a powerful movement filled with moments of breathtaking ambience and sequences of everlasting drones at one moment and harsh torn apart sounds at another. This is one of the greatest pieces of music. Limited to 30 chrome tapes. Mp3 download with purchase. c78 - this is a long and beautiful release.

So I’ve said this before about some of my releases but this is some of my best stuff yet. I am extremely pleased with how the tape turned out and am hopeful that others will say the same thing. As far as remixes go - I’m not always a fan of doing an entire remix album but this was something extremely special and it shows. Things suddenly change when you realize all the money you have = the amount of money it will cost you to ship some tapes to Poland.

As a result…. my Penis Culture/ TTTRRRAAASSSHHH split c20 tape titled “Make Em Bleed Bitch” will be released a few weeks early on August 23rd. Oddly enough TTTRRRAAASSSHHH just dumped his Facebook site so he won’t get to know about this bit of information.

And September will be a solid month of forgetting everything. I realized that places like Los Angeles and Portland only exist as memories now. Just memories… like ex lovers and who the fuck knows what else.

October 31 will see my collab with Big Epoch on a split cassingle with Bizzart. Me on a tape with these two is pretty amazing considering who I am and who they are - for me at least… Its a good tape - titled “Realife”

November I will try to release my split tape with Mnthd. We reconstruct the sacred music of Gesualdo. Its a c78 tape - we alternate tracks - its going to be a mix of church music and white noise - its so beautiful!

December I will probably have this split tape release with Grassa Dato from Spain. My side of the split is a collab with this dude from Poland named Filip - he is in Morpeth and some other “groups” - we call ourselves Winter Sunset I think.

And then in January will be my epic split tape with NRYY. My 6 tracks will be fundamentally the best pieces I’ve compiled to date. It will be much better that the above mentioned releases and has NRYY on the b-side so everyone should be wet for this. I know I am.

And I have this weird 45 minute collaboration piece I did with Nick Ripley that needs to find a home. Anyone interested I’d love to see this as a split c92.

Also I have some other collabs I’m working on - with Big Epoch - this other dude, forget who - maybe one with Ectoplasm - and some dude who goes by Baby something - its all complicated and hard to keep track of. And I’m doing/done a few remixes for a few people. I am not sure if I’m popular or if just a few people like what I do. Who knows. Oh yeah - I spent the summer recording some shit for this Frank Rowenta dude to process - should be interesting…
